Adaze Relief Association of Toronto Canada (ARA) was founded in 2004 by a group of friends who decided to transform their weekly socialization gathering into an Association.
After the official registration of the Association in 2004, preliminary meetings to brainstorm and mobilize to form a more perfect union that would be open to all Edo State indigence, or persons who can trace their ancestral lineage either by birth or marriage to the ancient Benin Kingdom, started from June 2004.
The vision of the Associaton is to foster economic, social and cultural development of the people of Edo State as a whole, the Province of Ontario and to act as a medium of rendering financial and moral support to individual members.
As mentioned earlier, by June 2004, the first open meeting of Adaze Relief Association of Toronto was called to order. The first attendees and founding members – still present with us to-date are Hon lgho Blackson and Hon Alison
Eigbedion- these enthusiastic men were amongst the movers to mobilize the birth of Adaze Relief Association of Toronto Canada.
By the end of 2004, the consttuton and bylaws of Adaze Relief Association of Toronto had been drawn by a group of diligent constitutional bylaw drafting committee.
Going forward, it is hoped that everyone will play a key role to build the Association with the Adaze team spirit . As an heritage nothing should limit the intellectual, social, political and economic boundaries of Adaze Relief Association of Toronto resilience to grow and contribute to the society we live in.
